Trial relating to the lawsuit involving compensation for damages brought by
Intertainment against Franchise Pictures: Decision on potential punitive damages
expected Friday
Ismaning near Munich, June 18, 2004 - The trial relating to the lawsuit
involving compensation for damages brought by Intertainment AG, Ismaning near
Munich, against US film producer Franchise Pictures and others heard
representations relating to punitive damages yesterday, Thursday. These are
additional payments to be made by the parties convicted over and above the
damages amounting to 77.1 million dollars awarded to Intertainment by the jury.
Following testimonies and closing arguments from the attorneys, the jury
commenced its deliberations relating to punitive damages late on Thursday
afternoon. Intertainment expects the decision today, Friday.
