Successful Producer Kopelson's New film Tops the US Cinema Charts
Positive Effects for Partnership with Intertainment AG
Ismaning / Munich 3 October 2001 - Arnold Kopelson's new film "Don't Say A Word" has already played in around
18 million US Dollars in its opening weekend. That makes the thriller, starring Michael Doug-las in the lead role, the
most successful picture. "Although 'Don't Say A Word' is not a project from the contract between Arnold Kopelson
and Intertainment, we are, of course, extremely pleased about our partner's success", Rüdiger Baeres, chairman of
Intertainment AG, Ismaning / Munich said, adding that Intertainment will profit indirectly from the achievement of the
new Kopelson film. A producer is always judged by his latest film. "As the owners of the rights to Kopelson's
future films we will now be in an ideal position for negotiations on distribution con-tracts for these films." Over
the next five years, Intertainment will be producing at least ten films in collaboration with Arnold Kopelson.
The first two joint projects of Intertainment AG and star-producer Arnold Kopelson are currently in development: "Window
to Atlantis", a super-natural genre film, and a thriller with the title "Decoy".
Kopelson is one of Hollywood's most successful producers. His latest ten films chalked up a total of 17 Oscar
nominations and two billion box office Dollars. Among the best known Kopelson productions are the Oscar winning "Platoon",
"The Fugitive", "Outbreak", "Seven" and "The Devil's Advocate".
